Wednesday 18th July – Samson’s Houses

Hi guys! Had a day on Samson today which was really good – went there last year and i know i saw some of you on your picnic! We’re digging in different places this year so hopefully we’ll find out new things about the families that lived on Samson 200 years ago. It was a really really hot day – i drew a wall on one of the houses. We always make drawings so that if anything damages the remains then we have a record.

I’m off home tommorrow, i’ve had an amazing three weeks and enjoyed all my visits to your schools. Thankyou for your enthusiasm and good questions. Hopefully some of you will be archaeologists in the future! I’ll still check this website so i can help answer any of your questions but my friend Rhiannon is going to take over for the last few days. Do any of you at St Marys Primary School remember her coming to your school last tuesday?

You all live on some amazing islands, i’m very grateful for the chance to understand how people lived here in the past. Take care,  Sally.
